WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL FALLS TO MOUNT HOLYOKE 0-3

SOUTH HADLEY, MA, Oct. 8, 2006 - Elms College freshman outside hitter Chie Inoue (Kochi, Japan) recorded a team-high 13 kills and freshman setter Kimberly Phillips (Randolph, MA) added 19 assists, but host Mount Holyoke College posted a 3-0 (30-15, 30-18, 30-23) win over the Blazers in the seventh place match of the 2006 Seven Sisters Women's Volleyball Championship.

The Blazers, who lost to Mount Holyoke for the second time this season, lost its third straight match overall to fall to 5-10. The host Lyons evened their overall mark at 7-7.

Elms College returns to non-conference play when it hosts Westfield State College on Thursday, October 12. Match time is 7:00 p.m. at the Maguire Center.
