About The Team

Since its inception in 1998, the men's soccer program has made success a tradition. During its nine-year history, the team has totaled 76 victories, posted three 12-plus win seasons, and has earned eight consecutive North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Tournament berths.

That high level of team success has also translated into individual success, as several players have been nationally ranked in Division III by the NCAA in both offensive and defensive statistical categories.

The Blazers have dominated selections for All-North Atlantic Conference (NAC) honors. During four of the past seven years, an Elms College player has been named NAC Rookie of the Year, and in two of those years, a Blazer earned NAC Player of the Year honors.

In 2006, the Blazers posted conference tournament road victories over Husson College and the University of Maine-Farmington before dropping a hard-fought 2-1 decision at Lasell College in the NAC Tournament championship game.

Midfielders Nda Kaslong (Jos, Nigeria) and Ben Masse (Chicopee, MA) were both named Honorable Mention All-NAC, goalkeeper Phil Joyce (Ashland, NH) finished fifth in the NAC in goals against average, and forward Sean Moylan (Chicopee, MA) netted a team-leading seven goals in his first collegiate season for the Blazers.

Elms College's 2006 schedule featured non-conference games against local rival Westfield State College, as well as Eastern Connecticut State University, Fitchburg State College, Norwich University, Rivier College, and Salem State College.
