About The Team

Throughout the program's 23-year history, the women's lacrosse program has found team success, and has had several players earn accolades at the national, regional, and conference levels.

During the 2009 season, sophomore Jenn Lough (Feeding Hills, MA) was twice named to the weekly New England Women's Lacrosse Alliance (NEWLA) Honor Roll. She led the Blazers with 22 goals on the year; freshman attack Katlyn Harrington (East Longmeadow, MA) added 12 goals and a team-best 32 draw controls; and sophomore midfielder Melissa Meon (South Hadley, MA) scooped up a team-leading 31 ground balls.

In 2008, midfielder Caitlin Childs (Hingham, MA) netted her 100th collegiate-career goal and finished her four-year career as the second player in the program's 23-year history to score 100 or more goals. Childs finished with 116 career goals - just five shy of the record 121 all-time goals set from 1988-1991 by Ellen Faszewski, a 2009 Athletic Hall of Fame Inductee.

The 2005 season marked a record-setting year for the program, as the team recorded its most wins in a season in 15 years, advanced to its first-ever NEWLA championship game, and had a team-record seven players named all-NEWLA, including four first team selections. The Blazers finished as the nation's NCAA Division III leader in ground balls per game.

The team's 2010 schedule features non-conference games against Pine Manor College, Smith College, and Regis College, as well as a full slate of NEWLA games.

In addition to NEWLA, the program also belongs to the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) and National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).
