WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL SPLITS NORTH ATLANTIC CONFERENCE TRI-MATCH
FARMINGTON, ME, Sept. 23, 2006 - Elms College freshman outside hitter Chie Inoue (Kochi, Japan) recorded a combined 17 kills to help the Blazers earn a split of Saturday's North Atlantic Conference (NAC) women's volleyball tri-match at the University of Maine-Farmington.
The Blazers (4-4 overall, 2-1 NAC) defeated Thomas College 3-0 (30-16, 30-21, 30-20), but fell to host Maine-Farmington 3-0 (30-13, 30-21, 30-11).
In the win over Thomas, freshman setter Kimberly Phillips (Randolph, MA) registered 17 assists.
In the loss against Maine-Farmington, freshman middle hitter Melissa Clark (Chicopee, MA) and freshman opposite Amanda Konsewicz (Westfield, MA) combined for five block solos.
Elms College returns to NAC play when it hosts Becker College on
Wednesday, September 27. Match time is set for 7:00 p.m.
