WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL SWEEPS TRI-MATCH AT CASTLETON 3-1

CASTLETON, VT, Sept. 16, 2006 - Elms College freshman middle hitter Melissa Clark (Chicopee, MA) knocked down a match-high 11 kills and freshman setter Kimberly Phillips (Randolph, MA) added a match-high 31 assists to lead the Blazers to a 3-1 (28-30, 30-16, 30-24, 30-20) win over host Castleton State College in the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) women's volleyball opener for both teams on Saturday afternoon at Castleton, Vermont.

The Blazers defeated Lyndon State in their second match of the day (16-30, 32-30, 12-30, 17-30).

With both wins, Elms College improved to 3-2 overall, 1-0 NAC. Castleton fell to 5-2, 0-1 NAC and Lyndon State fell to 0-7 overall.
