As a competitive swimmer at Amherst Regional, Coach Tyler won
Western Massachusetts individual titles in the 50-yard freestyle,

In recognition of his accomplishments, Coach Tyler was inducted
into the inaugural Amherst Regional High School Hall of Fame in
September, 2010.
During the summer of 2009, Coach Tyler won the 100-meter freestyle
