Kevin Meek enters his second season as head coach of the women’s soccer program. Coach Meek helped pace the squad to wins in six of its final 10 games of the season en route to a nine-win season, an impressive 7-1 mark in league play, and the second seed in the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Championship tournament.

Coach Meek’s 2009 squad also featured three First Team All-NECC selections and an Honorable Mention All-NECC selection. 

Prior to Elms College, Coach Meek spent four seasons as the assistant women's soccer coach at Division III Westfield State College. During the fall of 2008, Coach Meek directed the Owls to 15-5 overall record, the Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference (MASCAC) championship and a bid to the NCAA Division III tournament.

From 2007-08, Coach Meek also served as the head coach of the Western United U-17 girls' premier soccer team and this past season as the assistant coach of the Lady Pioneers W-League Professional Team. 

He has gained several diplomas from the National Soccer Coaching Association including his advanced regional diploma, national diplomas and state and regional goalkeeping diplomas.  He also achieved his USSF "D" soccer coaching license in March.

In addition to his coaching duties, Coach Meek is an associate professor in the English department at Westfield State College. 

Coach Meek earned his bachelor's degree in English and history from the Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana and his master's degree in fine arts in creative writing from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Sarah Casagrande is entering her first season as assistant coach of the women’s soccer program.

Coach Casagrande was a member of the Blazers' women's soccer program from 2005-06 and was a captain of her Holyoke Community College squad during the 2002 season. 

Prior to Elms College, Coach Casagrande gained a vast amount of coaching experience including serving as a player/coach for the John Boyle O'Riley Soccer Club since 2002. Coach Casagrande was also Holyoke Catholic High School assistant girls varsity soccer coach in 2003, head coach of the U13 boys Amherst youth soccer team and has provided assistance at the Holyoke Community College soccer camp (2002-03, 2008-10).

Coach Casagrande earned here bachelor's degree in Science Communications and Disorders, speech language, and psychology from Elms College in 2008. She is currently working towards a master's degree in Autism Spectrum Disorders at Elms College.
