WOMEN'S BASKETBALL FALLS AT LESLEY, 79-33

CAMBRIDGE, MA, Feb. 20, 2008 -  Elms College sophomore guard Ally Wanat (West Springfield, MA) scored a team-high seven points, but Lesley University scored the game's first nine points and never looked back en route to a 79-33 win over the Blazers in Wednesday night's North Atlantic Conference (NAC) women's basketball game at Cambridge.

With the win, Lesley improved to 11-12 overall, 5-7 NAC. Elms College fell to 8-16, 5-9 NAC.

A total of five players scored in double figures for the host Lynx, who built a 40-14 lead at intermission.

Sophomore guard Annie Dunnack (Mansfield Center, CT), senior point guard Michelle Fernandes (Danbury, CT) and junior forward Shauna Sullivan (Chicopee, MA) each scored six points apiece in the loss. 

The Blazers play their regular season finale on the road against NAC opponent Wheelock College on Saturday, February 23. Tip-off is 2:00 p.m.
