WOMEN'S BASKETBALL SELECTED NINTH IN NAC PRESEASON POLL
CHICOPEE, MA, Nov. 12, 2007 - The North
Atlantic Conference (NAC) released its women's basketball preseason
poll on Monday and Elms College was selected ninth in a vote
conducted by each of the conference's 11 head coaches.
The Blazers, who tallied 38 points, return 10 players from last year's team that finished fifth in the NAC West Division standings.
Maine-Farmington, which became just the third team in conference-history to go undefeated in NAC play, received eight first place votes as it was chosen as the conference favorite.
Maine-Maritime, which earned an at-large bid into last year's NCAA Division III Championship, received two first place votes and finished second in the preseason poll voting.
