WOMEN'S BASKETBALL FALLS AT MOUNT IDA, 80-62

NEWTON, MA, Feb. 6, 2007 - Elms College freshman guard Annie Dunnack (Mansfield Center, CT) netted a collegiate career-high 16 points, but Mount Ida College placed four players in double figures and jumped out to a 15-point halftime lead en route to an 80-62 win over the Blazers in Tuesday night's North Atlantic Conference (NAC) women's basketball game at the Mount Ida Athletic Center.

Elms College lost its fourth straight game to fall to 6-14 overall, 4-9 NAC. Mount Ida improved to 9-11 overall, 6-6 NAC.

Dunnack finished 5 of 9 from the field, including a pair of 3-pointers, and also pulled in six rebounds in 25 minutes for the Blazers, who trailed 47-32 at halftime.

Sophomore guard Tee Nazario (Bronx, NY) tallied 11 points and sophomore forward Paige Schneider (Windsor, CT) added 10 points to both reach double figures for the Blazers in the loss.

Elms College returns to NAC play on Thursday, February 8 at Becker College. Tip-off is 8:00 p.m.
