Skewes Earns NAC Rookie Of The Week Honors

SKEWES EARNS NAC ROOKIE OF THE WEEK HONORS  

CHICOPEE, MA, April 9, 2007 - Elms College freshman pitcher Alyssa Skewes (Ellington, CT) earned North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Rookie of the Week honors for the week of April 2, through April 8.

Skewes went a perfect 4-0 that included a pair of victories over conference foe Johnson State. Against Johnson State last Saturday, Skewes threw a complete-game, one-hitter in the first game, then fired a perfect-game in the nightcap. She recorded eight strikeouts in each win over the Badgers. Skewes also registered complete-game victories over Smith and Castleton.
