Thomas Rivers completed his first season as a member of the men's soccer program in the fall of 2011. Rivers helped the Blazers win three of their final four games to enter the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Championship tournament as the hottest team in the league and post a quarterfinal win. During the season, Rivers patrolled Elms' backfield, registered an assist and fired four shots.

Why did you choose Elms College?

I chose Elms College because I wanted to go far from home.

The Division III Identity encompasses the following six words: Sportsmanship, Responsibility; Comprehensive Learning, Proportion, Passion, Citizenship…which of these words means the most to you and why?

I identify with sportsmanship because you take on so much responsibility when you play a sport and are a role model for others.
