Men's Basketball Moves Up To 12th Nationally In Latest D3hoops.com Poll

MINNEAPOLIS, MN, Dec. 16 2008 - Elms College continued its historic rise and moved up four spots from last week to 12th nationally in the latest men's basketball D3hoops.com Top 25 Poll announced on Tuesday, December 16.

The Blazers are one of only two teams in this week's poll that are 9-0.

Following last week's impressive 77-61 win at No. 19 WPI, the Blazers are off to their first 9-0 start in program-history. 

Elms College, which was ranked 16th in each of the last two polls, received a total of 358 votes this week.

Defending national champion Washington University (8-0) received 23 of 25 first place votes to remain atop this week's poll. Wheaton (IL) (7-0), Wisconsin-Platteville (9-0) and St. Thomas (7-0) remained unchanged and held the top four spots.

Elms College returns to action on Saturday, January 3rd when it faces Hobart in the opening round of the Regis Tournament. Tip-off is 6:00 p.m.
