Sport: Field Hockey and Women's Lacrosse

Position: Goalkeeper, midfielder

Major: Communications Sciences and Disorders/Speech Pathology

Alysha Parsons completed her first season as a member of both the field hockey and women's lacrosse programs. During the 2011 field hockey season, Parsons saw action between the pipes in four games and made 10 saves while allowing just two goals. On the lacrosse field, she scored a free position goal, picked up 27 groundballs, earned five draw controls and caused three opponent turnovers during the spring of 2012.

Why did you choose Elms College?

I chose Elms College because it is a good size campus and I had a great experience on the overnight visit with the field hockey team.

The Division III Identity encompasses the following six words: Sportsmanship, Responsibility; Comprehensive Learning, Proportion, Passion, Citizenship…which of these words means the most to you and why?

I identify with sportsmanship because it teaches you how to be a family and to take responsibility when dealing with other people.
