Vassallie Named NAC Player Of The Week

VASSALLIE NAMED NAC PLAYER OF THE WEEK

CHICOPEE, MA, April 7, 2008- Elms College baseball junior pitcher RJ Vassallie (Long Branch, NJ) was named North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Player Of The Week on Monday, April 7.

Vassallie threw a complete-game, three-hitter to help lead the Blazers to a 3-1 win over Maine-Farmington in the first game of a conference doubleheader last Saturday.  He allowed no earned runs and just three singles in the seven-inning game.

Vassallie is 1-1 on the season and has a team leading 2.81 ERA with 11 strikeouts in 16 innings of work.
