"Pink-Out" Events Have Raised
Over $3,000 Towards $5,000 Goal!
After its first three “pink-out” events during the
2011-12 year, the Elms College athletics department has raised
$3,238.
Thanks to donations and tee shirt sales during the home events on Saturday, Jan. 28, the department raised $803 in its most recent fundraising effort and is steadily nearing its goal of raising $5,000 for the year. All money raised will be donated directly to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
A special thanks to the Regis College and Assumption College swim teams and the Lesley University men’s and women’s basketball teams for their support and participation during Elms’ first “pink-out” event of 2012.
The department’s next “pink-out” out event will take place in April and will feature the Blazers’ spring sports programs of baseball, men’s golf, women’s lacrosse, softball and men’s volleyball.
Continue to join us in promoting breast cancer awareness. During each pink-out event, fans are asked to help all teams involved in promoting the cause by wearing pink and donating a minimum of $1. Tee shirts will be available for $10. Together we can make a difference!
