Coordinator in July 2009.
Michael brings a wealth of experience to his new position at Elms College. Prior to playing and coaching this summer, he had spent the past two years as a graduate assistant with the baseball program at Division III St. Lawrence University (2007-2009). Coach Leonard's primary responsibilities included working with the pitchers, catchers and hitters as well as coordinating the team's strength and conditioning program.
In addition his baseball duties, Coach Leonard was an Intramural Commissioner overseeing intramural events, assigning officials, establishing rules and regulations and posting results.
Coach Leonard earned his bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Connecticut and his master's degree in education from St. Lawrence University.
