HOW IT HAPPENED
Rivier would take the early offensive advantage after scoring the opening goal in the fifth minute of play. Elms would try to find the equalizing goal with a shot from junior forward Kaylee Little (Boston, Mass.), but would be unsuccessful. First Year goalkeeper Breanna White (Lafayette, La.) would record two saves in the first half of play, but the Raiders would hold their 1-0 lead going into the halftime break.
Both teams would try to score early, with a shot from junior forward/midfielder Emily Basua (Oxnard, Calif.) and three shots by Rivier. Unfortunately for the Blazers, the Raiders would score their second goal shortly thereafter. White would make two more saves and senior forward Jordan Lee (Hampden, Mass.) would put a shot on net, but that would be saved and Rivier would secure the 2-0 conference win over Elms.
