CAMBRIDGE, MA – Elms College senior defender
Nick Bamford (Ludlow, MA) blasted four shots, but
Lesley University was able to net four goals to help lift the Lynx
to a 4-0 victory over the Blazers in Sunday afternoon’s New
England Collegiate Conference (NECC) men’s soccer game in
Cambridge, MA.
With the loss, Elms falls to 2-6 on the season, 1-1 in league
action, while Lesley improves to 6-2-1 overall, and 1-0 in the
conference.
After playing a scoreless first period, the Lynx struck four times
in the second half. Lesley received scoring strikes from four
different players while Ryan Rodgers (Hollis, NH)
assisted on the first two goals.
Sophomore goalkeeper Ryan Sullivan (Agawam, MA)
and senior net-minder Nick Pellegrini (Ludlow, MA)
split time between the pipes, recording two saves apiece in the
losing effort.
The Lynx out-shot the Blazers 22-10 in the contest.
Elms returns to action on Wednesday, Sept. 30 when it travels to
WPI for a non-conference contest. Game time is slated for 7:00 p.m.
