Three Men’s Soccer Players Named All-NECC

ATTLEBORO, MA – Elms College recently placed three players on the 2009 All-New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) men’s soccer team, including a first team selection.

Junior midfielder Courtney Johnson (Belchertown, MA) was named First Team All-NECC after netting a pair of goals and adding an assist for five points on the season.

Freshman forward Tavish Leland (Bridgton, ME) and junior defender Chris Silva (Chicopee, MA) each earned second team honors. Leland led the Blazers in scoring with five goals (all during conference action) and finished with 11 points on the season. Silva provided tremendous presence in the backfield and added four goals (three in NECC play) and an assist during the 2009 season.
