Women's Lacrosse Concludes 2026 Season Hosting Saint Joseph's Maine
CHICOPEE, Mass. - The Elms College Women's Lacrosse team hosted Saint Joseph's College of Maine for their regular season finale in a conference game on Wednesday evening at Leary Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
In the first quarter, junior goalkeeper Marisa LaRocque (Agawam, Mass.) would make five saves, along with four shots by junior attack Rachel Dort (Chicopee, Mass.) and senior midfielder Jackie Cronin (Smithtown, N.Y.), and a draw control win from Dort, but Saint Joseph's would score ten goals. In the second quarter, the Monks would continue to put pressure on the Elms defense, where LaRocque would make a save, but SJC would score in the opening minute. Then as the quarter would continue, the Monks would score five more goals, but the Blazers would see two shots and a draw control from Dort and two shots by Cronin. However, Saint Joseph's would go into the halftime break with a 15-0 lead over Elms.
The third quarter would continue to see the Monks control the game offensively by scoring five more goals to their lead, but the Blazers would not back away, with graduate student defender Angelina Cellucci (Sicklerville, N.J.) winning a draw control, two saves by LaRocque, two draw control victories for Dort, and a shot by first year attack Chloe Sullivan (Hampden, Mass.). The fourth quarter would see the two conference opponents trading possession, with Cronin taking the first shot of the quarter, followed by a save by LaRocque, but SJC would score their 21st and final goal of the game. As the quarter would continue, Cronin would win a draw control and would then score her first goal of the evening, then moments later, Dort would score a down-goal to help rejuvenate the energy for Elms. in the closing minutes of the game, Croin and Dort would each take a shot, and Cronin would score a goal in the final minute of play. Unfortunately, the Monks would defeat the Blazers 21-3 to conclude the 2026 regular season.
