Elms Adds Deason as Strength & Conditioning Coach

CHICOPEE, Mass. - Elms College Athletic Director Rob Southall announced this week that Joe Deason will be the College's new Strength & Conditioning Coach.

"We are excited to add Joe Deason to our athletic family," said Southall. "We are looking to have him grow our strength and conditioning programs".

Most recently, Deason served as an Intern with the University of Florida, with their track & field, swimming, and women's volleyball teams, along with athletes training to compete in the Olympics. He has also recently been assisting with the men's basketball team here at Elms.

The Jacksonville, Fla. native is a 2024 graduate of University of North Florida where he received his bachelor's degree in Health Science and is currently earning his master's degree in Strength and Conditioning at Springfield College.

Deason has earned multiple certifications with the National Strength & Conditioning Association - CSCS, USA Weightlifting, Functional Movement Systems, National Academy of Sports Medicine, and The Gray Institute.
