McGillis and Schettini Sweep GNAC Women's Swimming Weekly Awards

WINTHROP, Mass. - The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) announced their weekly award selections for the week ending on January 26th Monday evening.

GNAC Women's Swimming Weekly Awards Release - January 27, 2025

Junior Joni McGillis (Katy, Texas) was named GNAC Women's Swimming Swimmer of the Week for the second time this season after finishing with a 2:41.57 in the 200-Yard Butterfly and a 27.26 in the 50-Yard Freestyle last week for the Blazers against Western New England University.

First year Alissa Schettini (Pittsfield, Mass.) was named GNAC Women's Swimming Rookie of the Week this week after recording a 2:20.71 in the 200-Yard Freestyle and a 6:23.58 in the 500-Yard Freestyle against the Golden Bears on Friday.

Both Blazers would also compete in team relays for Elms, recording a 2:18.60 in the 200-Yard Medley Relay, and a 4:13.60 in the 400-Yard Freestyle Relay.
