Critz Returns as Head Athletic Trainer

CHICOPEE, Mass. - Elms College Athletic Director Rob Southall announced this week that Nicholas Critz will be the College's new Director of Sports Medicine and Head Athletic Trainer.

 "We are excited to welcome Nick as our head athletic trainer," said Southall. "We are excited for him to put his stamp on the athletic programs".

Most recently, Critz previously served as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Elms from August of 2022 until May of 2024. Prior to that position, he had served as an intern for the athletic training staff at the University of Saint Joseph, Conn. for the 2021-2022 academic year.

The Enfield, Conn. native is a 2021 graduate of Springfield College where he received his bachelor's degree in Athletic Training and is currently earning his master's degree in Sport and Exercise Psychology at Springfield College.

Critz is a Board-Certified Athletic Trainer as well as holds his Massachusetts state licensure and First Aid and CPR certification. He is also a part of the National Athletic Trainers Association and Athletic Trainers of Massachusetts. Critz is dedicated to providing his athletes with the best holistic care of the body and mind possible.
