Women's Basketball Slated Eighth in 2024-25 GNAC Tournament, Hosting Lasell on Monday
WINTHROP, Mass. – The Elms College Women's Basketball team has placed eighth to clinch a spot into the 2024-25 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Women's Basketball Tournament, beginning on Monday, February 24th.
2024-2025 GNAC Women's Basketball Tournament Release - February 22, 2025
The Blazers will host the ninth seeded Lasell University in the Play-In Round on Monday with a kickoff of 5 pm at Picknelly Arena. The winner will move onto the Quarterfinals to face off against the first seeded Johnson & Wales University on Tuesday, February 25th at 6 pm.
This game against Lasell will mark the second time that Elms will compete in the GNAC Women's Tournament in program history. This will also the Blazers first playoff appearence and first time hosting a playoff game since the 2021-2022 seasonn.
The winners will advance to play in the GNAC Semifinals on Thursday, February 27th with the prevailing teams competing for the GNAC Championship on Saturday, March 1st. The winner of the GNAC Championship match will be named the 2024-25 GNAC Women's Basketball Champion and earn the conference's automatic qualification into the 2024-25 NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Championship.
