Rainey Named NECVA Rookie of the Week
JERSEY CITY, N.J. – Elms College freshman men's volleyball player Bryson Rainey (Brookline, Mass.) was named the North East Collegiate Volleyball Association (NECVA) New England Division Rookie of the Week as announced by the organization on Tuesday.
During Elms' lone contest last week, a 3-0 loss to Endicott College, Rainey hit at a sensational .429 clip, downing a team-high nine kills on 14 swings with just three errors. Rainey added a solo block and a pair of digs en route to his first NECVA weekly honor of the 2011 campaign.
