ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Elms College sophomore Brie Voight (Springfield, Mass.) was selected as the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Women's Soccer Player of the Week, announced by the league office Monday morning. This is Voight's second Player of the Week award of the season, claiming the honor for the week of September 7th.

Voight was the focal point of the Blazers offense during a 2-0 week for Elms, which included the program's first victory over Clark University Wednesday night. In the 2-1 win over the Cougars, Brie netted the game-tying goal with a strike off a cross from sophomore Madison Jung (Stafford Springs, Conn.) in the 37 minute of play. During the Blazers first conference victory of the season, a 3-1 win at Becker, Voight registered the game-opener and game-closer for Elms. For the season, Voight ranks third in the NECC in goals with 7, and fourth in points with 15.

Voight and the Blazers return to the pitch with a non-conference road trip to Westfield State Wednesday night. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
