Softball Slated to Finish in a Tie for Third in the 2014 NECC Preseason Poll
NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. – The Elms College softball team was selected to finish in a tie for third in the 2014 New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Preseason Poll as voted upon by member coaches and released by the league office on Tuesday.
Elms enters the 2014 campaign under the direction of 28th-year head coach Cheryl R. Condon. The Blazers return nine starters including 2013 Second Team All-NECC selection Ally Witaszek (Feeding Hills, Mass.) and right-handed pitcher Jessica Colson (Agawam, Mass.) who collected 114 strikeouts last season.
