Meeker Named NECC Pitcher of the Week in Softball
ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Elms College senior pitcher Destinee Meeker (Bantam, Conn.) was named New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Pitcher of the Week in softball as announced by the league office on Monday.
Meeker propelled the Blazers to a 4-1 week picking up three wins in three appearances in the circle, including both wins of an NECC twinbill against Daniel Webster College and the first game of a doubleheader with Bay Path College. Meeker scattered 15 hits during the week and allowed just two unearned runs (0.00 earned run average) while striking out nine batters en route to her second consecutive pitcher of the week honor.
