CHICOPEE, Mass. – The Elms women's lacrosse team couldn't keep up with the Coast Guard Academy in a 17-0 loss on Tuesday afternoon.
Daria McKenna scored the first two of 15 first-half goals for the Bears (7-1) within the game's first minute, and the Coast Guard Academy led 5-0 five minutes into the game.
The Bears built the lead to 15-0 at halftime before stepping off the gas in the second-half.
Haley Richard finished with a team-high four shots, including two shots on goal for Elms. She also scooped up a team-best four ground balls.
Brenna Farrington led the Bears with five goals while Mckenna, Carter Sanderson, and Erin Mullen added three each.
The Blazers (0-6) wrap up their three-game home-stand on March 29 when Rhode Island College visits Leary Field at 7:00 p.m.
