Twenty-Seven Student Athletes Named to the Winter Spring NECC All-Academic Team
NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Twenty-seven Elms College student athletes were named to the 2014 Winter/Spring New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) All-Academic Team as announced by the league organization on Tuesday.
A total of 136 student athletes have been named to the NECC Academic all-conference team for the 2014 winter/spring semester. The Blazers placed 27 student athletes on the all-academic team.
To be eligible for the NECC Academic All-Conference, a student-athlete must post a minimum grade point average of 3.40 on a scale of 4.00 and must be a sophomore or higher in class standings. Student athletes who competed in men's and women's basketball, men's volleyball, baseball, softball, men's lacrosse, women's lacrosse and men's tennis were eligible for spring NECC academic honors.
