Women's Basketball Recognized by WBCA for Academic Success

The Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) recently announced its winners for the 2008-09 Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll.  This award recognizes teams throughout the nation that carry the highest grade point averages (GPA) for the entire season based on the nomination submitted by WBCA-member head coaches.

The Elms College women's basketball team finished sixth in the nation with an overall 3.483 team GPA.  "I am very excited for Coach Habacker and her team to receive this prestigious honor," said Louise McCleary, Director of Athletics.  "The student athlete concept is a core part of our mission."
