Athletics Fundraises For Komen Foundation

ATHLETICS RAISES NEARLY $500
IN THIRD BREAST CANCER AWARENESS FUNDRAISER OF 2008-09 

CHICOPEE, MA, April 20, 2008 - Elms College's athletic department recently held its third fundraiser of the year for breast cancer awareness on Saturday, April 18.

During Saturday's most recent "Pink Out" event, which took place at Elms College's home baseball, softball and women's lacrosse games, fans from Elms College, Newbury, Bay Path and Westfield State chipped in to donate a combined $482.66.

All proceeds from the fundraising event will be donated directly to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

During its three breast cancer fundraising events this year, Elms College raised a combined $3,386.66 with 100-percent of the proceeds directly benefiting the Komen Foundation.
