WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL ROLLS PAST BECKER, 3-0

LEICESTER, MA, Sept. 26, 2007 - Elms College freshman outside hitter Jeannette Nunez (Canovanas, Puerto Rico) recorded a match-high 20 kills, 20 digs and eight aces to help the Blazers cruise to a 3-0 (30-11, 30-19, 30-25) win over Becker College in Wednesday night's North Atlantic Conference (NAC) women's volleyball match at Leicester.

With the win, Elms College vaulted past Becker into third place in the current NAC standings. The Blazers improved to 4-5 overall, 3-2 NAC, while the Hawks fell to 5-6, 3-2 NAC.

Sophomore setter Kim Phillips (Randolph, MA) handed out 32 assists, sophomore middle blocker Melissa Clark (Chicopee, MA) hammered down nine kills and added a pair of block solos in the victory.

Elms College returns to conference play with a tri-match at Castleton State College that includes Thomas College on Saturday, September 29.
