  WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL SWEPT AT SEVEN SISTERS CHAMPIONSHIP

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y., Oct. 6, 2007  - Elms College sophomore outside hitter Jeannette Nunez (Canovanas, Puerto Rico) and freshman outside hitter Amanda Konsewicz (Westfield, MA) combined for nine kills in two matches, but the Blazers were first defeated by Smith 3-0 (30-12, 30-15, 30-16) and then by Wellesley 3-0 (30-10, 30-16, 30-11) at the first day of the Seven Sisters Women's Volleyball Championship on Saturday hosted by Vassar College. 

Elms College sophomore setter Kim Phillips (Randolph, MA) tallied six digs against Wellesley.

Elms College returns to play on Sunday, October 7 when the Blazers challenge Mount Holyoke in the Fifth Place Match at the Seven Sisters Championship.
