Nunez Named NAC Rookie of the Week

NUNEZ NAMED NORTH ATLANTIC CONFERENCE ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

CHICOPEE, MA, Sept. 17, 2007 - Elms College freshman outside hitter Jeannette Nunez (Canovanas, Puerto Rico) was named North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Women's Volleyball Rookie of the Week on Monday, September 17.

Nunez tallied 55 kills, 24 aces, 89 digs and three block solos in four matches (18 games) to help the Blazers post a 2-2 record on the week, including a split of last Saturday's conference tri-match.

Elms College returns to non-conference play when it hosts Mount Holyoke on Thursday, September 20. Match time is 7:00 p.m.
