NUNEZ NAMED NAC WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

CHICOPEE, MA, Oct. 1, 2007 - Elms College freshman outside hitter Jeannette Nunez (Canovanas, Puerto Rico) was named the North Atlantic Conference Women's Volleyball Player of the Week on Monday.

Nunez knocked down a combined 44 kills in three matches last week to help lead the Blazers to a undefeated week that included 3-0 conference wins over Becker, Castleton and Thomas. Against Becker, Nunez recorded a match-high 20 kills, 20 digs and 4 total blocks.

Elms College returns to non-conference play at MCLA on Wednesday, October 3. Game time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
