 WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL FALLS TO MOUNT HOLYOKE
AT SEVEN SISTERS CHAMPIONSHIP, 3-0
 

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY, Oct. 7, 2007 - Elms College junior outside hitter Jeannette Nunez (Canovanas, Puerto Rico) knocked down a team-high 14 kills, but Mount Holyoke went on to post a 3-0 (30-26, 30-10, 30-21) win over the Blazers in Sunday's Fifth Place Match of the 2007 Seven Sisters Women's Volleyball Championship at Vassar College.

The Blazers, who fell to the Lyons for the second time this season, lost their fourth straight overall to dip to 6-9 overall.

Sophomore middle hitter Melissa Clark (Chicopee, MA) added eight kills, a team-high nine digs and three block solos, while sophomore setter Kim Phillips (Randolph, MA) added 28 assists.

Elms College returns to non-conference play on Thursday, October 11 at Westfield State. Match time is 7:00 p.m.
