WOMEN'S SWIMMING CRUISES PAST HUSSON, 127-95

BANGOR, ME, Jan. 20, 2007 - Elms College junior Kaity Jo Bryll (East Hartland, CT), and freshman Marie Waterhouse (East Longmeadow, MA) each won three events to help power the Blazers to a convincing 127-95 win over Husson College in Saturday's women's swimming meet at Bangor, Maine.

Elms College won all 12 individual and both relay events as it improved to 4-6 overall.

Bryll was victorious in the 50-yard freestyle, 100-yard individual medley and 200-yard freestyle, while Waterhouse was first in the 50-yard breaststroke, 50-yard butterfly and 100-yard backstroke.

Sophomore Sarah Lapolice (West Springfield, MA) earned victories in both the 50-yard breaststroke and 100-yard backstroke, while freshman Liz Walker (Holyoke, MA) placed first in the 200-yard breaststroke and 100-yard butterfly.

Freshman Kathleen Towle (Brockton, MA) (1000-yard freestyle) and Nicole Denette (Chicopee, MA) (500-yard freestyle) completed the sweep of first place individual finishes for the Blazers in Saturday's meet.

Elms College returns to action on Wednesday, January 24 at WNEC. Meet time is set for 7:00 p.m.
