NEWBURGH, NY, Oct. 29, 2006 - Elms College freshmen Marie Waterhouse (East Longmeadow, MA) and Elizabeth Walker (Holyoke, MA) each set a pair of school records and also swam a record-setting relay to help lead the Blazers to a second place finish at Sunday's Mount St. Mary Invitational women's swimming meet at Newburgh, New York.

Elms College tallied 237 points to finish behind only William Patterson in the seven-team invitational.

Waterhouse clocked new school records in both the 50 and 100-yard backstroke, while Walker established new records in the 100-yard breaststroke and 100-yard butterfly.

Waterhouse and Walker also teamed with sophomore Kate Orefice (Southington, CT) and junior Kaity Jo Bryll (East Hartland, CT) to set a new school record in the 200-yard medley relay.

Elms College's women's team next competes on Saturday, November 4 at Simmons College in a meet that will also include Wheelock College.
