ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Elms College senior Jacqueline Soucia (Belchertown, Mass.) was named New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Women's Soccer Player of the Week, announced by the league office Monday. This is the first time in her Blazers career that Soucia has claimed Player of the Week recognition.
Soucia helped lead the Blazers offense charge, netting seven points with five assists and a goal. Soucia provided the assist on the Blazers lone goal in a 3-1 non-conference loss at Westfield State. During an 8-0 drubbing of Mitchell, Soucia set a new career-high with four assist along with a goal for a new single-game career-high six points. For the season, Soucia owns 11 points with a team-high seven assists and two goals.
Soucia and the Blazers will be back on the pitch when Elms hosts Newbury College in NECC action at Leary Field Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.
