ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Elms College freshman Rebecca Molin (West Hartford, Conn.) was named the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Women's Soccer Rookie of the Week, announced by the league office Monday.
Molin registered a pair of shutouts last week for the Blazers to push her league-leading total to six on the season. Molin posted a pair of saves during a 3-0 victory at Western New England, followed by making a pair of clutch saves to preserve the Blazers 1-0 victory over Lesley, snapping the Lynx 61-game unbeaten streak in conference play. On the season, Molin owns a 0.54 goals against average and a .821 save percentage with 23 saves and six clean sheets, and ranks first in the conference in shutouts, goals against average, and goals against (5).
Molin and the Blazers will return to the pitch with a non-conference road trip to Clark University Tuesday night for a 7:00 p.m. kickoff.
