WOMEN'S SOCCER FALLS TO HUSSON, 2-0

BANGOR, ME Oct. 20, 2007 - Elms College junior goalkeeper Shannon Donnelly (Florence, MA) stopped seven shots, but Husson scored a goal in both halves to earn a victory 2-0 in Saturday's North Atlantic Conference (NAC) women's soccer game at Husson.

Husson freshman midfielder Amy Sanz (Tynsboro, MA) opened the scoring in the 16th minute when she gathered a feed from sophomore midfielder Kylan Smith (Presque Isle, ME) and blasted a shot past Donnelly.

Husson added another score in the 72nd minute when freshman forward Megan Clement (Brunswick, ME) beat Donnelly for her seventh goal of the season.

With the victory the Eagles improve to 10-6-1, 7-1 NAC while the Blazers drop to 5-9-1, 4-4-1 NAC.

Elms College returns to conference play Sunday, October 21 at Maine Maritime.
