  WOMEN'S SOCCER DEFEATS THOMAS, 3-0

WATERVILLE, ME, October 24, 2006 - Elms College senior forward Jen LeDoux (Easthampton, MA) netted her eighth and ninth goals of the season in a 3-0 win in Saturday afternoon's North Atlantic Conference (NAC) women's soccer game at Thomas College.

With the win, the Blazers improve to 10-4 overall, 8-0 in the NAC.

LeDoux scored her first goal of the game in the 29th minute off a pass from junior midfielder Sarah Casagrande (Easthampton, MA), and hooked up again with Casagrande in the 40th minute, giving the Blazers a commanding 2-0 lead.

Junior midfielder Jamie Walsh (Springfield, MA) scored the Blazers' third goal of the contest unassisted off a corner-kick in the second half.

Sophomore goalkeeper Shannon Donnelly (Florence, MA) was tested only once as the Blazers out-shot the Terriers 17 to one.

Elms College returns to action Sunday, October 15, as they travel to Maine-Farmington. The conference game is slated for 12:00 p.m.
