WOMEN'S SOCCER FALLS TO NICHOLS, 2-1
DUDLEY, MA, Sept. 6, 2006 - Elms College freshman midfielder Vanessa Pare (Belchertown, MA) netted her first collegiate goal, but host Nichols College scored a goal in each half to post a 2-1 win over the Blazers in Wednesday afternoon's non-conference women's soccer game at Dudley, Massachusetts.
The Blazers trailed 1-0 nine minutes into the game before Pare struck for the equalizer in the 43rd minute.
Senior midfielder Danielle Rousseau (Worcester, MA) tallied her second goal of the game in the 63rd minute to provide Nichols with what stood as the game-winner.
Elms College hosts Westfield State College in its non-conference
home opener on Tuesday, September 12. Game time is 4:00 p.m.
