WOMEN'S SOCCER DEFEATS MOUNT HOLYOKE COLLEGE, 2-0

Box score

SOUTH HADLEY, MA, Sept. 28, 2006 - Elms College senior forward Jen LeDoux (Easthampton, MA) and freshman forward Serina Percoski (Westfield, MA) each netted second half goals to help lift the Blazers to a 2-0 shutout over Mount Holyoke College in Thursday's non-conference women's soccer game at South Hadley.

Elms College won its sixth straight game to improve to 6-3 overall, while Mount Holyoke fell to 1-6 overall.

After a scoreless opening half, LeDoux scored her team-leading seventh goal of the year when she capitalized on a breakaway 6:30 into the second half.

Percoski added her fourth goal of the year 20 minutes remaining as she dribbled past a defender on the left side and maneuvered around the goalkeeper to find the open net.

Sophomore goalkeeper Shannon Donnelly (Florence, MA) stopped five shots to earn her fourth shutout of the year.

Elms College returns to North Atlantic Conference (NAC) play when it travels to Wheelock College on Saturday, September 30. Game time is 3:00 p.m.
