  WOMEN'S SOCCER FALLS TO BAY PATH COLLEGE, 1-0

LONGMEADOW, MA, Oct. 18, 2006 - Elms College sophomore goalkeeper Shannon Donnelly (Florence, MA) stopped four shots, but host Bay Path College received the game's only goal from junior midfielder Amanda Janik (Agawam, MA) then held on for a 1-0 win over the Blazers in Wednesday's North Atlantic Conference (NAC) women's soccer game at Ryan Field.

With the loss, the Blazers saw their nine-game conference winning streak snapped as they fell to 11-5 overall, 9-1 NAC. Bay Path improved to 9-4-1 overall, 7-4 NAC.

Elms College held a 30-8 advantage in shots and 15-5 edge in corner kicks.

The Blazers return to NAC play when they host Johnson State College on Saturday, October 21.
