Catherine Duquette

Catherine Duquette - Elms College sophomore women's lacrosse player Catherine Duquette (Naples, Maine) was chosen as this week's female student athlete spotlight.

Duquette is a biology major at Elms College and is entering her second season as a member of the women's lacrosse program.

In her debut season with the Blazers in 2010, Duquette played all 15 games and made 10 starts. She collected eight groundballs, caused four opponent turnovers and earned one draw control.

Briefly describe your favorite sports moment (playing or as a fan):

My favorite sports moment was when I ran the ball down the field from one end to the other!

Who has been your biggest influence outside of sports and why:

My mom has been my biggest influence because she is amazing.

Why did you choose to attend Elms College:

I chose Elms College because of the size of the classes and the gorgeous campus.

Where is your favorite place to travel and why:

The Outer Banks! It's the most beautiful place on Earth.

Where is the one place you would like to travel to in the future and why:

Australia's golden coast. It looks almost as nice as the Outer Banks and I like the accents.

What is your favorite sports book or movie:
