WOMEN'S LACROSSE DROPS SEASON-OPENER AT EMERSON, 24-3

BOSTON, MA, March 17, 2008 - Elms College senior midfielder Caitlin Childs (Hingham, MA) netted three goals, but host Emerson rolled off 14 straight first half goals and went on to post a 24-3 win over the Blazers in Monday's non-conference women's lacrosse game at Boston.

Elms College lost its season-opener, while Emerson improved to 4-2 overall.

Junior goalkeeper Alicia Bobbie (Higganum, CT) finished with eight stops for the Blazers in the loss.

Elms College returns to non-conference play at Rhode Island College on Thursday, March 20. Game time is 4:00 p.m.
