JOSEFIAK EARNS NEWLA HONORS

CHICOPEE, MA, April 27, 2007 - Elms College junior defender Raemarie Josefiak (Springfield, MA) was recently named both First Team and Defensive Player of the Year by the New England Women's Lacrosse Alliance (NEWLA).

Josefiak was named NEWLA Defensive Player of the Year for the second time in three years (she shared the title in 2005).

During the 2007 season, Josefiak picked up 11 groundballs, won 12 draw controls, and forced nine turnovers while contributing eight goals and six assists for the Blazers.
